Sn0wbreeze has been update to version 2.8 beta 5 recently by the developer iH8snow. The tool is for Windows users only for now. Mac users will get their turn too, so have patience. The new Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 5 gives you tethered jailbreak. But along with this, the jailbreak tool brings in some more features, which are totally cool.
To start with, the sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 5 lets you install iOS 5 on your iDevice. You would say that you already have, no big deal. But this is a developer talking, but what if you are not a developer and you dont have a developer account? This only means that you cant install the iOS 5 beta on your iDevice, and you are too much tempted to get it working on your iDevice.
This is where the Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 5 comes into the picture. The new update bypasses the UDID developer account authentication process. This just means that you can install the iOS 5 beta OS on your iDevice even if you dont have a developer account. You will not at be asked to provide your developer account details. Isn’t that just awesome? But I’m guessing Apple will really get pissed off about this because Apple wants only developers to get their hands dirty with the not-so-unstable (yes) iOS 5. So we may see patches to this very soon in a few days, something like a week.
