Delete a song from the Music app with one swipe

Delete song in Music app in iOS 5

Apple released the new iOS 5 a couple of weeks back, and changed the way the iPhone works by adding more than 200 new features to the new OS. This is good because your phone can no do awesome stuffs that it was not able to do before, and you can manage stuffs easily on it than before. A very good example would be the new notification center. But along with such awesome features, the new iOS 5 also brought some new features which made most of us uncomfortable. One example of this would be that in iOS 5, Apple has split the old iPod app into two different apps, Music and Videos apps. Though this will make you use two apps in place of one, there are some good features insides these apps.

Consider the new Music app for example. You can easily delete songs from your phone right from the Music app. This is not like deleting a song from the playlist or completely from the music library, but this will delete the song all together from your phone, and you can not get it back until you sync it with your PC or Mac again.

That means, if you want the song back in the library of your Music app, you will have to sync your iPhone with iTunes on your Mac or PC. This also means that deleting the song from the Music app will not delete the song form the iTunes library on your PC or Mac. It is just on the iPhone.

So, how do you delete? Just swipe your finger across the song in the library of your Music app. You will get the Delete button on the right side of the song. Tap on the button and it is gone. Easy as that. This feature will come handy when you want some space on your iPhone and you are away from your computer or Mac.
